COALITION OF BLACK WOMEN LAWYERS

The Coalition of Black Women Lawyers is a national community of Black women lawyers, created to meet the need for a cohesive, unified system to strengthen and protect the integrity and economic outcomes for the Black community. This initiative was birthed out of the "Order in the Court Forum", a safe haven for Black women lawyers to share their unique experiences in a supportive environment.

Since the initial forum held on Memorial Day 2020, a core group of the original group banned together to develop this collective, now officially known as the Coalition of Black Women Lawyers. Our vision is to create a cohesive multi-national coalition of women lawyers throughout the diaspora to serve as advocates for the elevation of Black women, the eradication of the culture of disregard and degradation, and to eliminate biases that cripple our economic growth.

We've joined forces to create maximum impact in the marketplace.

Advocates for Black Women

Black women lawyers are uniquely positioned to effectuate change at every touchpoint in the process. We will use that access to advocate for substantive improvements in the lives of Black women and families.

Providing a Seat at the Table
